Emergency towing booklet

It is prepared in accordance to SOLAS Chapter II-1 Regulation 3-4.
The ship-specific emergency towing procedures booklet is considered as part of the emergency preparedness required by the ISM code. These procedures should be implemented by the crew in time of emergency towing and shall be based on the existing arrangements and equipment on board the vessel.

 

Cargo securing manual

It is prepared in accordance with the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea 1974 as amended, Chapters VI, VII and the Code of Safe Practice for Cargo Stowage and Securing. It involves procedures for cargo units, including containers, that shall be stowed and secured throughout the voyage.

This plan is required for all vessels carrying cargoes which need securing. 

 

Fire safety training manual and operational booklet

It is prepared in accordance with the requirements of the SOLAS Chapter II-2 Regulation 15.
This manual is designed to provide effective training and all the necessary information needed for efficient safety measures to be implemented in case of incidents involving fire on board.

 

Fire fighting maintenance plan

This plan is prepared in accordance with the requirements of the SOLAS Chapter II-2 Regulation 14.
The subject plan provides all the necessary information to establish and maintain an effective maintenance system for the Fire Fighting Equipment, Systems & Appliances on board the vessel.

 

Safety training manual

The manual is prepared in accordance with the requirements of the SOLAS Chapter II-2 Regulation 15 and Chapter III Regulations 35.

It is designed to provide all the necessary instructions and information needed by the crew for general safety on board involving the use of life-saving appliances. This manual is compiled tailor made to the ship’s safety equipment.

 

LSA maintenance plan

The plan is prepared in accordance with the requirements of the SOLAS Chapter III, Regulation 20 and 36.

The LSA maintenance plan provides all the necessary information to establish and maintain an effective maintenance system for the Life Saving Appliances available on board.

 

Plans and procedures for recovery of persons from the water

The plan is prepared in accordance with SOLAS regulation III/17-1.

Due to this regulation, all vessels must carry ship-specific plans and procedures for recovery of persons from the water. Equipment which is intended to be used and the measures to be followed for recovery purposes must be identified.

The plans and procedures under this regulation must be considered as part of the emergency preparedness plan required by paragraph 8 of the ISM Code. The preparation of the manual is based on ‘Guidelines for the Development of Plans and Procedures for Recovery of Persons from the water’.
